Perge, Aspendos & Side

The day begins at Perge, a Hellenistic and Roman city with a colonnaded street, agora and Roman baths, where St. Paul preached on his first missionary journey.

The second stop is Aspendos, whose 2nd-century theatre is considered the best-preserved Roman theatre in the Mediterranean: its stage building, seating and acoustics remain almost complete, and it is still used for performances.

The programme closes at Side, a port town built on a peninsula around the Temple of Apollo, with free time among the ruins and along the seafront before the return transfer.
