Classical Tour of Cappadocia

First visit Devrent Imagination Valley and walk through this lunar landscape. Then visit Paşabağ, located on the road coming from Göreme. Highly remarkable earth pillars can be seen here in the middle of a vineyard — hence the name of the place, which means the Pasha's vineyard. The site is also called Monk's Valley, a name derived from the cones carved into the tuff stones that stand apart.

Continue to Uçhisar Rock-Castle, the highest point in the region, Esentepe with its panoramic view of the Göreme valley, and the Göreme Open Air Museum, which consists of steep cliffs and many hidden churches dating from the second half of the 9th century — rock-cut churches, frescoes and monasteries.

Continue to the village of Avanos, a small town famous for its pottery, built along the banks of the Kızılırmak (Halys River), the longest river originating and ending within the borders of Türkiye at 842 miles in length. Those who wish may also enjoy the famous testi kebab.
