Programme

Pamukkale — 'cotton castle' in Turkish — is formed by calcium-rich thermal water that has been depositing white travertine terraces down the hillside for millennia. The site has been listed by UNESCO as World Heritage together with the ancient city of Hierapolis above it.

Guests walk the terraces barefoot along the designated path, with time to stand in the shallow warm pools and photograph the plain of Denizli below. The programme includes the entrance to the protected area and can be extended with a swim in the Antique Pool, where columns from the Roman colonnade lie in the thermal water.
